Lynchberg Lemonade with Sriracha

We're getting close to BBQ season, and yes you can and should use booze in making BBQ Sauce?  But what do you do if you have some leftover Beam or Heaven Hill?   Well, we've got a solution for you.

Pinky Mixology Quickie:
Sriracha Lynchburg Lemonade.

This is a Pinkie Mixology Quickie.  Not as super in-depth as our normal stuff and not on our official schedule, but here for you to check out anyway.  Why is this a quickie?  Well we've already done a Sriracha Lemonade before, and so making it into a Lynchburg Lemonade is basically just adding bourbon style whiskey.  So this is more like just some extra add-on content.  Enjoy.

This is made in a mason jar with lemons, sugar, sriracha, and whiskey.

Use a strainer when juicing lemons, because you don't want seeds to get in there.  Or you can juice them into another container and strain it from there.   Just make sure you use actual juice from actual  lemons... none of that bottled crap.

Sriracha will dissolve in there if you shake it well.  A few squirts is enough to get that taste to infuse into this.

This is one of those things where you can use just about any whiskey which has been aged in charred barrels either old or new, rye or corn, it won't really matter since there are so many variants on this recipe.

The cheap Triple Sec you see at the store is artificially flavored with the same crap they put in orange soda, and might be sweetened with High Fructose Corn Syrup.  It's just nasty stuff.  Cointreau and Grand Marnier are out there, but they're expensive and they make this taste too much like a Sidecar.  So we make our own orange stuff our of orange peels and vodka.

Do NOT use some orange flavored vodka, they are also artificially flavored.
